The Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and House of Representatives member-elect for Ihiala Federal Constituency, Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike, has said the people of Ihiala should expect federal appointments as the 10th National Assembly begins operation.
Agbodike, who stated this at Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, while fielding questions from journalists, shortly after the state congress of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), said he has done it as a state legislator, as attested to by the people of Ihiala and would go to the National Assembly to bring more dividends of his stewardship through federal appointments and other opportunities.
According to Agbodike, the two positions that came to Ihiala Local Government Area from the just concluded state congress; the State Secretary of APGA and the State Vice Chairman of APGA South senatorial zone, were a true confirmation that Ihiala is a great local government with great people.
He said Ihiala won 4 over 4 for APGA in the last general elections and there is absolutely no doubt that APGA will keep soaring higher and higher in Ihiala local government area.
The Deputy Speaker therefore noted that following the confirmation of the people of Ihiala that he has done notably in the 8 years he represented Ihiala 2 State Constituency in the House of Assembly, he would go to the national assembly to do more for his people.
He said the people of Ihiala and Anambra citizens should expect more dividends of democracy and good representation he intends to replicate from his achievements, as a state lawmaker, adding that a lot of projects will come to Ihiala federal constituency and Anambra state at large.
He said “I am going to the national assembly for and on behalf of my people; Igbo people. The Southeasterners and Ihiala local government. It shall be well with all of us. APGA shall be great again.”
