Following the one year celebration by the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, a businessman residing in Tudun Fulani, Deidei community, Mr. Rabiu Ismail has accused the council chairman of failing to provide basic necessities of life in the community.
Ismail, who spoke to Peoples Daily Correspondent on Sunday in the community, saying that the community had neglected in terms of development.
He chided the administration of Maikalangu for not carried out any meaningful project in Tudun Fulani community within one year of his leadership.
He pointed out that the community was facing the problem of potable drinking water and bad roads especially the road linking to the express road to Abuja and called the government of AMAC to do something urgently to arrest the situation.
The business mogul, therefore, tongue-lashed the Chairman that his administration had not impacted positively on the lives of the residents in the community since he assumed office in June 14th, 2022.
Also speaking, a father of eight children in the community, Mallam Mohammed Yakubu, complained that the community has no Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in the area, as he disclosed that their children trek to Jiwa and Gwagwa to attend the government schools.
He added that the community has no clinic or hospital in the area, saying that the residents travelling out to the neigbouring villages for medical treatment.
Yakubu said: I am appealing to AMAC Chairman to build Junior and Senior Secondary Schools as well as clinic in the community before the expiration of his tenure in office”.
Not left out, residents of filindabo, Deidei and Deidei timber shade, who spoke to Peoples Daily Correspondent, lampooned the administration of the AMAC Chairman for not executed any project within one year in the communities.
