The aide said the abduction came on the heels of a faceoff between the victim and some persons at Urhokuosa Community over the disputed All progressives Congress (APC) registration and inconclusive party congresses.

The aide who pleaded anonymity said the youths were outlawed from forcefully selling peoples land in the community.

“The lawmaker, who has been assisting in developing the community has been urging the youths to embrace peace to avert communal crisis in Urhokuosa,” he stated.

While calling on the commissioner of police and security agencies to prevail on the youth to release the octogenarian unconditionally, the aide said the kidnappers were yet to open negotiation with the family.
