NDE begins training of youths on environmental beautification in Niger

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Niger state has commenced a three months training of 30 youths on Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS) under special public works department to be self employed.

The Director General of NDE Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo made the disclosure during the flag off ceremony of the training scheme held in Minna, Niger state.

Represented by the State Coordinator Mohammed Dantsoho Abubakar disclosed that the beneficiaries were selected for training on hard landscaping and soft landscaping, inter logging and Plaster Of Paris (POP).

He explained that the participants would contribute their quota to the beautification of both public and private buildings, however for them to be trainers and employers rather than waiting for white collar jobs that’s not readily available.

He advised them to put in their best during the training urging them to be good ambassadors just as some of them will be selected to benefit for loan based on attendance and seriousness shown.

A beneficiary who is also People Leaving With Disability (PLWD), Mohammed Haruna Isah appreciate the agency for considering them for the training and assured to be serious in order to acquired the required knowledge.
