Provide security, remove impediments for IDPs to return home, ASUU president tells FG

National President Academic Staff Union of Universities,ASUU, Comrade Emmanuel Osodeke has called on the federal government to secure communities in Benue state and across the country to enable the displaced persons return to their homes.
Comrade Osodeke made this call on Tuesday in Makurdi during a visit to Abagana Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, Camp where they donated food and non food items to the persons of concern.
He explained that the donation is a national programme embarked upon by the union across the country.
The President who was represented by the National Resource Person, Professor Ralph Ofukwu, said “the purpose of our visit today is to show the kindness ASUU has been fighting for the upliftment of the masses.
“One of it is what we are doing throughout the country. As we are here in Abagana camp, ASUU is also in Niger, Gombe and other places.”
