Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has urged the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State to bring back aggrieved members of the party who left during the party primaries in the State.
This, he said was in the interest of the party and for the overall development of the State.
The Speaker made the call when he led other members of the House, of APC extraction on a congratulatory visit to the new officials of the party in Lafia yesterday.
He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other party leaders for electing Hon Aliyu Bello as Chairman and Mr Yarus Dagusa as Secretary of the party in the State.
He informed the party leaders that the APC as a political party is yet to recover from the crises occasioned by party primaries and urged them to bring back the aggrieved members who had left in order to develop the party ahead of future elections.
He said: “ We believe in your capability and capacity as you have all what its takes to deliver. You are the right person for the job at the moment in order to take our great party, APC to the next level of development.
“ Mr Chairman, we are all aware of what happened during the party primaries where some people left the party either due to injustice done to them or fairness was not done to them.
“ They have left to contest for election in other parties, I want to appeal to you to bring back all aggrieved members of our party who left the party.”
Abdullahi said APC is the party of the people and its lost glory must be revamped no matter what it takes.

“ We have concluded our defence at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, I have no doubt in my mind that victory is ours.”
Responding, Hon Aliyu Bello, the State APC Chairman appreciated the Speaker and other members for the visit.
