The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Mr. Samuel Odeh has commended the retired General Manager customer service of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Mrs Lorna Owolona Idoko for writing two books to educate the public.
Odeh, who made the commendation while unveiling/launching of the two books entitled “Recapture what Matters” and “The Journey of a Triumphant Life” at Nigeria Merit House, Maitama on Saturday.
The Deputy Governor called on the general public to buy the books in order to update their knowledge, saying that the people of Benue State are proud of the Author.
Speaking to newsmen at the occasion, the Author of the two books, Mrs. Lorna Owolona Idoko, said the purpose of writing the books was to encourage the other people to put down their own stories about life.
She added that she wrote the two books in order to make impacts in the society for the sake of new generation yet unborn.
She then charged the citizens of Nigeria to deem it necessary to exhibit their talents they have so as to better the society, noting that money is not everything in life.
She, therefore, pleaded with those who were blessed with money to help the less privileged ones in the society, saying that life is all about putting smiles on the faces of other people.
The Author appealed to Nigerians to always cultivate the habit of reading books in order to know something around them, adding that Nigerians should endeavor to maintain good relationships with other people irrespective of their tribal inclinations.
