The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom has mourned the death of his former Principal Private Secretary, Dr Stephen Amase as shocking, sad and painful.
Ortom said in a message signed by his former Media Adviser Terver Akase on Tuesday that the demise of Dr Amase has created a void that will be difficult to fill, describing the passing of his former aide as a personal loss.
“Dr. Stephen Amase was not just a dedicated and loyal aide to me; he was an invaluable member of our team and an exceptional individual who touched the lives of many. His unwavering commitment, work ethic and diligence were second to none.
“As my Principal Private Secretary, Dr. Amase displayed an extraordinary level of professionalism, competence, and dedication to duty. His organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex situations with ease were instrumental to the successes recorded by our administration between 2015 and 2023. His pivotal role in coordinating and managing the affairs of my office will forever remain fresh in our memories”,the former Governor recalled.
Chief Ortom condoled the family of the late Amase and appealed to them to remember that their son, father and uncle has left behind a legacy of excellent public service which will forever be etched on the minds of those who knew him.
He prayed that God grants the Amase Igbudu Ute family solace and the strength to bear the irreparable loss as the late PPS receives eternal rest.
