The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged youths to imbibe the spirit of oneness, love and peace at all times, as the nation celebrated her 15the Democracy Day.
The wing’s President, Pastor Simon Dolly, who made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said youths should contribute their own quota to peaceful coexistence in the society by becoming ambassadors of peace wherever they are.
According to him, there would be no meaningful development in the society without peace, hence youths, who are the leaders of tomorrow, should avoid being used by selfish politicians in spite of the challenges in the land.
Dolly also urged citizens to stop condemning the government by their negative utterances, but rather, pray for the success of its leaders.
“We should pray for our leaders and obey constituted authorities; we must live together as one, in spite of our diversity, we should look at our areas of strength than our areas of weakness.’’ (NAN)
