The United Kingdom mission known as Foreign Commonwealth Development Office ( FCDO) has promised to support Jigawa state government on addressing the challenges of out of school children in the state.
This was announced by the Senior Responsible Officer for Partnership For Learning For All in Nigeria ( PLANE) FCDO, a UK funded project “ Mr Ian Attifield when he paid a courtesy visit to the state governor Malam Umar Namadi in his Office at government house Dutse.
He said, the one day working visit he paid to Jigawa state was aimed at assessing the impacts of their intervention in the area of Improving Foundation Skills and Quality Learning in the state.
Mr Ian noted that, the formula adopted by Jigawa state for teachers recruitment will help in recruiting qualified teachers and also those who have passion for the job.
“ The policy we have seen on ground in Jigawa state has demonstrated the state government commitment to improve access to quality learning and also address the challenges of high rate of out of school children, we appreciate the effort and we are ready to strength our partnership for achieving the desire goals”.
