The leadership of the Institute of Medical and Health Law (IMHL) has concluded the arrangement to hold the National conference with the theme: “Maintaining Optimal Mental Health in a Distressed Socio-Political Economy”.
The Director-General of the Institute, Prof. Uwakwe Abugu, made this disclosure while briefing newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, ahead of the National Conference which will take place at the Merit House, Maitama, Abuja on the 21st of November, 2023.
Abugu revealed that the Minister of State for Education, Dr Tanko Sununu would be the keynote speaker, as the conference would be chaired by Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe.
He said: “The major highlight of the conference will be the induction of student members, associates, full members, associate fellows and fellows of the institute”, pointing that there will be conferment as well as induction of Honorary Fellowship on some distinguished Nigerians during the occasion.
He expressed with joy that Prof. Mike A. A. Ozekhome, SAN would be honoured at the conference due to his giant strides in constitutional law.
This, according to Prof. Abugu, our indepth assessment revealed his track record at the NMA FCT and National in private medical practice and at the National Hospital and in public service generally as intriguingly benevolent and mesmeric”.
The Institute’s Director-General, however, called on the government at all levels to always gear towards the promotion of healthcare delivery services for sake of Nigerians.
