Koro Festival: Agaba Jiwa urges Nigerians to shun religious sentiment

The Agaba (Chief) of Jiwa in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT, His Royal Highness Dr. Idris Musa, has urged Nigerians to always shun religious sentiment for the overall development of the country.
He also charged Nigerians to live in peace with one another irrespective of their political and tribal differences, calling for the unity of Nigerians at all times.
Agaba, who stated this in an interview with newsmen during the National Annual Koro Festival/unveiling of National Wrapper which took place in Zuba on Saturday, further advised every Nigerian to be proud of their native languages anywhere they live.
The royal father, however, tasked Koro people to deem it necessary to respect their fathers, noting that koro are peace-loving people.
Speaking earlier, the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji muhammad Bello Umar, pleaded with the government at all levels to provide scholarship to koro children so as to go to school.
Agora then called on the highly placed koro people to impact positively on the lives of Koro people and beyond, and warned koro youths to shun social vices.
On his part, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, who is also the Chairman of Abaji Area Council, noted that Koro People are one of the indigenous tribes in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
The Chairman appealed to the indigenes of the FCT to come together to contribute meaningfully to the development of Abuja.
Not left out, the president of the Association of Koro Communities in Nigeria (AKOCON), Alhaji Kasimu Mohammed, begged Federal Government to take every tribe in the FCT along in the affairs of things.
Kasimu Mohammed, who is the Marafan Zuba and District Head of Zumwa, therefore, urged Koro natives to send their children to school to enable them occupying important positions tomorrow.
