Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has asked all residents of the state to step into the New Year with excitement as it is expected to be better than 2023.
In a statement, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor assured that the year is also going to be a busy one in terms of implementation of developmental policies and programmes of his administration.
According to him, the signing of the 2024 budget into law a week after its presentation to the Legislature within the outgoing year is an indication that the present administration means serious business, explaining that it is going to be work from day one of the New Year, and going forward.
Governor Bago also stressed that the Agricultural Revolution of the present administration will equally make headway in the new year as the subsector is given the second-highest budgetary allocation for the year 2024, adding that words will be put into actions to boost national policy on food security.
He commended the residents for their support so far and solicited continued support and cooperation of all citizens for the actualization of his policies and programmes and many more in 2024.
