NUT President says inadequate funding affecting education

The National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Audu Titus Amba has expressed dismay over the shortage of teachers, poor infrastructure, inadequate funding and the refusal of some states to implement the N30,000 minimum wage, which is the bane of educational system in Nigeria.
He asserted this while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, teachers are the most relegated civil servants who are professionals.
“We all are aware that in other professions, like nursing, they have a peculiar salary status that they enjoy.
“For us in this country, we are still battling with that and I believe that as we speak, the 30,000 Naira minimum wage has not been implemented by some states.
