NAWOJ donates medicine to female inmates in Jigawa

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Jigawa State Chapter, under the leadership of Aisha Ilyasu Surko, donated medicine, food and other relief materials to inmates at the Dutse Correctional Service centre.
Speaking during the visit, the NAWOJ chairperson, said the future is just to relief the inmates and show concern on their living conditions.
Surko who expressed dismay on over congestion in some centres, urged judges for speedy trials to reduce the congestion.
During the visit, the association conveyed essential items, including medications such as Paracetamol, Amoxicillin, and Flagyl.
Other relief materials include, provisions like Garri, Kulikuli, detergents, sanitary pads, and clothing were handed over to the Matron, Haj Amina Sai’d to address some of the female inmates’ needs.
