GOSIEC gives 101 days notice to political parties on LGs election

The Gombe state Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) has given political parties 101 days notice to prepare for local government elections billed for 27th of April 2024.
The chairman of the commission Alh. Saidu Shehu Awak made the disclosure on Thursday during a stakeholders meeting with Inter Party Advisory committee in Gombe.
He said the meeting was aimed at informing all registered political parties and the public on the plan of conducting local government elections by the commission.
According to him, the 11 local government areas of the state will witness an elections approved by the Gombe state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to participate into local government councils elections.
The chairman reiterated the commission’s commitment of handling a free and fair elections across the local government areas.
