Estate Surveyor and Valuer best to handle facility management – ESV. Kingsley Anyansi

An Estate Surveyor and Valuer, ESV. Kingsley Anyansi said the best way to handle Facility Management of property for both individuals, public and organizations is to involved the services of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
ESV. Anyansi stated this in Abuja yesterday, affirming that Estate Surveyors are professionals that are highly trained to handle facility management of property/properties.
He explained that Facility Management is the management of facilities in a property such as sprinklers, elevators, escalator, fire hydrant among others to ensure thier functionality is at the optimal.
According to him every property owner wants his /her property to be in an optimal condition and tenantable so as to enable him realise his return on investment due to the high cost of development of building in today’s market.
He said a Facility Manager is required to manage the property.
“ A Facility Manager has various duties. He / she must ensure that the fire extinguishers are serviced every 6 months. Elevators is serviced monthly and prompt payment of staff that clean the environment”.
Others are Ensuring that the waste is disposed timely. Making sure there is power supply at all times, maintenance of the generators and ensuring that the windows and doors are well fitted.
He also emphasized that the only professional that is well trained in the higher institution to handle all these duties discussed above is the Estate Surveyor and Valuer.
