The Arewa Youth Assembly has called on Integrated Facilities Management Services Ltd (IFMSL) and its managing Director, Abubakar Ahmed Mo’Allahyidi
, to commend the Honourable Minister of FCT, Barrister Ezenwo Neysom Wike, for his efforts in Abuja and not to attack him .

Recall that Wike ordered the immediate closure of the famous Abuja International Conference Centre, ICC, as well as the cancellation of all bookings by clients.

He also revoked the contract of the facility managers, Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Limited, and awarded the contract to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc – the original builders – for “the immediate and comprehensive renovation” of the ICC.

Recently, a concerned group called upon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Senate President, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Traditional Leaders, the Council of Oba’s Chiefs in the Southern Region, and the good people of Nigeria regarding the unfriendly and aggressive tactics employed by Barrister Nyesom Wike in supervising over the FCT.

Reacting to the development on Sunday via a statement signed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, said the International Conference Center, as its name depicts, stands as very important for various functions of both domestic and foreign nature.

According to him, “ICC brings convention and exhibition facilities of a high international standard to the country, attracts foreign investors, and hosts very important occasions such as the collation of results by INEC every election period.

“Wike’s only crime is to refuse to allow this important piece, the ICC, to slide into a deplorable and sorry state. Hence all the lies and malicious campaigns against him.

“The authors of this script have unknowingly succeeded in exposing their selfish and wicked desire to always put themselves above the country. They have continued to display their ignorance and lies by calling Wike all sorts of names that never match his description.”

Speaking on tribal bigotry, he explained that how can Wike be a tribal or an ethnic bigot when, as a Christian from the South, he supported the Muslim-Muslim ticket, a PDP member who is serving under the present APC administration. Truly, Wike is a detribalized Nigerian.

“The Igbos tag him anti-Igbo, Hausas say he is anti-northerner because his only goal is Nigeria, Nigeria first. A nationalist who is only after developing Nigeria irrespective of politics, tribe, or religion.

“The true unpatriotic, ethnic, and tribal bigots are those who are coercing Nigerians into believing lies and deception, those who are interested in making a fortune at the detriment of the sweat and blood of Nigerians.

“We call on Nigerians to continue to give their unwavering and undiluted support to the Honourable Minister, to help him actualize the return of Abuja’s Master plan and transform it into a London in Africa.
