An aide to the immediate past Zamfara State Governor, Anas Kaura, has challenged the suspended Member representing Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency, Aminu Sani Jaji, to test his popularity in Zamfara State by forming a new political party aside from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Aliyu MC Tsafe, a close political ally of the suspended lawmaker, said, “No regret for supporting the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State during the 2023 governorship election. Politics is a game of interest, it’s not religion; therefore, everyone has the right to associate with any political party of his or her choice,” Aliyu MC declared.
Responding to the statement, Comrade Anas said Aminu Sani Jaji has been a member of the APC, a party that has played a crucial role in shaping the state’s policies and governance.
“I categorically wish to state that Aliyu MC does not know anything about politics, and he cannot speak to the capacity and reach of Aminu Sani Jaji because Jaji does not have a stronghold in Kaura and Birnin Magaji, respectively.
“In a nutshell, Aminu Sani Jaji cannot stand out and win any election in Kaura and Birnin Magaji, not to mention the entirety of Zamfara State. Therefore, he relied on the APC’s acceptability to win elections.
“I, Anas AA Kaura, wish to tell Aliyu MC Tsafe that we know how Aminu Sani Jaji won his elections twice.
“You, Aliyu MC, who is from Tsafe, should stay clear of issues pertaining to Kaura and Birnin Magaji because you are ignorant of the political processes in our constituency.”
Anas said that this moment presents a unique opportunity to test the vibrancy of our democracy. If Jaji truly believes in his vision and his connection with the people, forming a new party will be a testament to his commitment to those ideals.
“This is not just about Jaji’s political survival; it is about demonstrating that our democracy can accommodate new voices and fresh perspectives. It is about proving that political power is derived from the people’s will, not just party allegiance.
“If you believe you have the support and the vision, take this bold step. Form your own party and let the people decide. This is the essence of democracy – the freedom to choose, the freedom to support a vision that aligns with one’s own values and beliefs.
“Jaji served as a local government chairman and also won as a House of Representatives member under the umbrella of Abdulaziz Yari. Matawalle also took him to the House of Representatives.
“Aminu MC served as a local government chairman under the government of Abdulaziz Yari. Additionally, Matawalle appointed him as a commissioner of health under his government.
“Thus, they are all political betrayers.”
AA Kaura warned Aminu MC to be wary of Jaji’s political antics because both His Excellency Abdulaziz Yari and His Excellency the Honourable Minister of Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, were and remain his political demigods.
