The Ministry of Works under the Kaduna State Government has successfully commissioned the reconstructed 10km Feeder road at Takalafiya in the Soba Local Government Area.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony at Soba LGA, yesterday, the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani who was ably represented by the Minister of Works, Architect (Dr.) Ibrahim Hamza said it’s a dream come true as it was part of the 2024 agenda which the State hoped to achieve.
Arch. Hamza stressed that the Uba Sani administration is focused on the development of rural infrastructures and hopes to bring the benefit of good government to the grassroots level in the State which is why they commenced the reconstruction of roads in Soba LGA.
The Minister noted that the reconstruction of the road is only one out of the many things the Uba Sani Administration desires to do in Kaduna State adding that they hope to return soon to commission other projects.
“The main focus of the government now is the development of rural infrastructures and as part of our agenda which is included in the 2024 budget, is to see how we can revitalize our infrastructures in the rural communities which is why we have started itemizing these projects, one after the other, local government by local government and we are going down to even ward by ward.”
“Part of what we are doing now is the commissioning of a 10km feeder road from Takalafiya to Soba LGA and it has already gone far, about 60-70 percent is already done. We have just come to tell the people that, we are here for them.”
