As part of effort to institutionalize accountability and social inclusion, the team of Jigawa Community of Practice (CoPs) have identified two critical sectors to work and ensure accountability and inclusion of the projects.
The decision was made during a one day stepdown training for the CoPs held on Monday at ACReSAL conference hall Dutse the state capital.
Speaking during the training, the state support officer (SSO) comrade Adam Sulaiman said, the training aimed to promote citizen action in tracking and monitoring selected projects across these communities using the iFollowTheMoney Model.
He added that, the training will also help to build a network of community stakeholders and CoPs who are trained to introduce and integrate transparency and accountability tools such as the NomTrac tool and FTM tracking within rural communities.
The participants also agreed to work within six selected local government that include Dutse, Gwaran, Hadeja, Kiri-kasamma, Garki and Kazaure local government areas in the state.
