Taraba state water Supply Agency has urged water consumers in the state to be patient with the prevailing water scarcity in the state.
General Manager, Taraba Water Supply Agency Jalingo, Engineer Buba Siam stated this at a customer outreach forum, held at the Hilltop hotel, Jalingo.
Siam said the aim of the interactive forum is to intimate customers on the prospects and problems of the Agency with a view to finding ways to improve service delivery.
He noted that the water supply agency as a service-oriented agency with the statutory responsibility of rendering public water supply, must educate its customers on its short coming and get feedback and cooperation where necessary for their overall benefit.
The General Manager pointed out that the issue of water scarcity in the state would soon be over as the state government has signed an agreement with the African Development Bank for improved water supply in the state by 2016.
Also speaking, the Galadiman Muri, Tukur Abba Tukur who commended the state government for its effort to ensure safe supply to the citizenry, called on customers to take care of water facilities in their areas for sustainability.
