Democracy Day Reprieve: Uba Sani Frees 110 Kaduna Inmates

In a move that has been hailed as a beacon of hope and mercy, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has granted pardons to 110 inmates at the Nigerian Correctional Service Custodial Centre in Kaduna, ahead of the June 12 Democracy Day celebrations.

The Governor’s gesture, which was announced during a visit to the Correctional Centre yesterday, has been widely praised as a demonstration of his commitment to justice, compassion, and human rights.

According to sources, the beneficiaries of the pardon include inmates who have shown good behavior, those who have served a significant portion of their sentences, and those who were imprisoned for minor offenses.
