The Unified Nigerian Youth Forum recommended Hajiya Halimat Adenike for appointment as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, saying she possesses the right attributes to manage the ministry.
This was contained in a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed by the group’s National President, Comrade Idowu Olufemi Shoroye, and made available to the media in Kaduna, yesterday.
The group noted that its request is based on inclusivity and the need to address the needs of the vulnerable and less privileged.
Comrade Olufemi noted that the demand became imperative due to her impactful and selfless life as a philanthropist, adding that her appointment will be a breath of fresh air for the less privileged in the rural areas.
