NDE re-settles graduated trainees for self-employment in Minna

National Directorate of Employment NDE in Niger state has resettled another 16 lucky beneficiaries of its re-settlement of graduated trainees of the National apprenticeship scheme trained in various

acquisition skills.

 Distributing the materials at Labour House in Minna yesterday, the Director General of the agency Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar said the Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS) of NDE was designed as the answer to the increasing rate of unemployment which has become a

global threat to the economy.

Abubakar noted that as part of Federal Government transformation agenda was trying to revamp informal sectors of the economy to create jobs, self-employed and reliant even as its collaborating with MDGs to ensure standard.

 Represented by the acting director North Central zone Mrs Ufuo Oro stated that the agency has acquired and refurbished 48 acquisition skills centres in 16 states of the federation which are fully

operational as she charged beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity many Nigerians were seeking for.

 Niger state Coordinator of NDE, Engineer Abdullahi Mohammed said they were mandated to alliviate poverty through capacity building and empowerment of the citizenry as the beneficiaries now transit from traineeship to ownership so as to contribute their quarter to the development of the nation’s economy.

 Responded onbehalf of beneficiaries Precious Kadir appreciated the kind gesture from NDE assuring to make use of the materials judiciously to the benefit of humanity and ensured repayment of the

revolving loan as promised for others to benefit in future.

The materials distributed include barbing, GSM repairs, fashion design, video coverage, hair dressing others are welding and lubrication, computer, auto mechanic, aluminium installation and electrical installation as well as catering.
