Former Minister for Works and Senator of the Federal Republic, Chief Barnabas Gemade has said Governor Hyacinth Alia deserves a second term, positing that he would not have done as good as he is doing if elected Governor.
Sen. Gemade who said this at the weekend in Makurdi during a reception for Federal Board Members organized by Concerned Youths, averred that, “if one competes, loses and sees that the winner deserves it, one must be thankful to God that he decides who wins”.
He added, ‘I’m very proud today that Governor Alia is the governor of Benúe State and I’m very happy to see what he is doing.
“I would not have done as good as he has done and many more people who were trying to be governor couldn’t have done as much as he has done. Nobody will be able to stop Governor Alia from serving eight years. “
