Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) management has apologised to customers in different parts of Lagos states for the recent power outages.

The company acknowledged the inconvenience and frustration caused by these interruptions, which are due to a critical upgrade of its IT systems.

In a statement said EKEDC is in the process of implementing a new, state-of-the-art enterprise system designed to enhance customer management of electricity consumption. This advanced system aims to provide greater convenience, transparency, and control over electricity usage, both at home and remotely via mobile devices.

“Despite efforts to minimize disruptions, the complexity of the upgrade has led to technical difficulties and outages, affecting both residential and business customers. EKEDC’s management and technical teams are working diligently to resolve these issues and restore full functionality to the vending platform as swiftly as possible.”
