Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has pledged to rebuild the over 7,000 houses destroyed by the recent flood disaster in Gummi local government area.
Yari, who made the plea when he paid a sympathy visit to Gummi emir’s palace and the affected areas in Gummi LGA, said the assessment team would arrive with immediate effect to embark on forensic census of the destroyed houses in order to ensure the return of the teeming displaced families.
Other donations provided by the Senator included 15 trucks of assorted grains, 10,000 blankets, 5,000 mattresses and consignments of medicines.
“I thought it necessary to make life easier for my constituents without giving consideration to which political party or a religion a victim and his family belong to especially the nation’s economy happens to be in a trying period.”
