President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with elder statesman and former Minister of Defence, Professor Iya Abubakar, over the passing of his wife, Ummu Abubakar.
Hajiya Ummu Abubakar passed away in Abuja. She was 78.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Thursday, quoted Tinubu to have said that the deceased, who was also the mother-in-law of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, will be remembered for her devotion to God and dedication to family values.
President Tinubu prayed for God’s mercy on the departed and urges her family to maintain the good name she left behind, the statement said.
