The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has urged government, prominent people to empower youths and women with skills, and education to foster innovation, create jobs, and sustainable development that will promote socio-economic growth of the country.
He spoke at the launching of the foundation and empowerment of the less privilege, by Ahmed Idris Chief Press Secretary Foundation as part of event to mark the 21st anniversary of Etsu Nupe and 72nd birthday at the Wadata Palace in Bida Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Royal Father emphasised the need to provide Nigerian youth and women with quality education, skills training and employment opportunities to make them self-reliant.
Abubakar expressed believe in the younger generation to excel if given the needed supports.
