64th independence: We have to emulate our forefathers’ sacrifices for a better Nigeria – Gov Yusuf

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has called on Nigerians to emulate the Sacrifices made by the forefathers with a view uplifting the well being of the state .
The Governor stated this during the Nigeria’s Independence celebrations, held at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Tuesday.
He said the fore father’s who struggle for the Nigeria’s independence have sacrificed alot ,hence Nigerians should put efforts together in ensuring that the labour of the fore father’s was not left in vein.
The Governor noted that his administration would relent in ensuring that more laudable projects were being provided to the general populace with the aim of moving the state and the Nation forward.
“ We’ve declared state of emergency on education with a view to restore the lost glory of the sector ,and our decision have started yielding positive results”
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf maintained that much priority was accorded to sectors of Health, Agriculture,Tourism ,and Youths Empowerment .
The governor Felicitates With the poeple of Kano State and the Nation at Large for witnessing yet anniversary of Nigerias independence.
He said despites the challenges along these sixty four years of the nations independence it’s worthy of celebrations.
During the 64 anniversary celebration,the Army ,police other paramilitary personnel conducted a colourful parade which was infected by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The event was attended by the Emirs of Kano,Rano ,Gaya ,mambers of the state executive council and other senior Government officials.
