From Ibrahim Sidi Muh’d, Gusau

Zamfara state governor, Abdulazeez Yari, is currently battling with the fear that some of his prominent aides and stakeholders in his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may have been persuaded to dump the party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Some of his commissioners and special advisers were said to have concluded plans to dump the party but were prevented from doing so at the weekend by the governor who stretched out the olive branch for reconciliation.

It was learn that Yari’s aides have been having talks with stakeholders in the PDP in the state who promised them patronage in ten party.

Others were, Special Assistants (SA’s) including Almustapha Magazu, Usman Dan Kaduna, Mu’awiyya Yandoto, Isa Bature, Ayuba Abdullahi, Ahmed Dantabawa Gada and Adamu Hassan, Senior Special Assistants were, Akilu Muhammad Tsafe and Surajo Sani.

Another source further revealed that there were formidable indications that, only 5 Commissioners who earned Governor Yari’s trust in running the affairs of the state would be left behind in the government.

Part of the grouses of the disgruntled aides, according to a source, is that the governor has reduced cash allocations to their offices making them mere figure heads in the cabinet.
