Nigerian royalty and dignitaries gathered in Abuja to celebrate the birthday and humanitarian contributions of Princess Chetachi Nwoga Ecton, lauded for her dedication to empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups across the country.
The event saw a rare assembly of traditional rulers from all regions of Nigeria, including His Royal Majesty Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha; Eze (Dr) E.C. Okeke, Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers; and HRH Alh. (Dr.) Usman Nga Kupi, Sapeyi of Garki, Abuja.
Together, they honored Princess Chetachi for her work in philanthropy and social advocacy.
Known internationally as the Global Chairperson of the International Women Power Conference (IWPC) and the CEO of the WIN and ELIMH Foundation, Princess Chetachi has been recognized for her leadership and impactful initiatives.
Her projects include the Mission of Mercy, Seed of Life, Free Medical Mission, and Back to School Program, which have brought relief to widows, orphans, and marginalized groups across Nigeria.
Princess Chetachi continues her tradition of giving by pledging all birthday gifts to support those in need, underscoring her commitment to compassion and generosity.
Igwe Achebe, a leading figure in Nigerian royalty, praised Princess Chetachi’s devotion.
“Today truly must be a special occasion, a day made for us by God,” he said, adding that the gathering of so many royal figures outside of the National Council of Traditional Rulers’ annual assembly was unprecedented.
“She is indeed worthy of this honor because of all she has achieved,” Igwe Achebe added, encouraging prayers for her continued accomplishments and blessings.
Eze (Dr) E.C. Okeke commended Princess Chetachi’s impact on human capital development, noting her positive influence as a “Chief Nurse” and a distinguished ambassador of Nigerian traditions.
“She has touched countless lives, and even the royal fathers are moved by her kindness,” Okeke remarked, extending blessings on behalf of the South East Council of Traditional Rulers.
Alh. (Dr.) Usman Nga Kupi, Sapeyi of Garki, applauded Princess Chetachi’s work in uniting communities.
“Our sister, our daughter, is a bridge builder,” he said, reflecting on her ability to foster understanding across different cultures.
He shared personal gratitude, describing her support and generosity as a true testament to her compassion.
As part of the celebrations, Princess Chetachi announced the launch of the Scale-Up for Sustainability initiative, a project under the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative.
This program aims to provide accelerated second-chance education and livelihood skills across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), emphasizing her ongoing commitment to social progress.
Expressing gratitude for the support she received, Princess Chetachi praised her mother’s influence and pledged to continue serving those in need.
