The Federal Road Safety Corps in Gombe state said the Corps has begun it’s 2024 ember month enlightenment campaign on motorists. Sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps Gombe state Command, Mr. Samson Kaura made this known in Gombe on Tuesday in a press briefing to commemorate the flagging off of the exercise scheduled to take place on Thursday at Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo mega park.
He said the exercise is aimed at sensitizing motorists across the country who billed to embark on transit during and after the ember month period.
According to him, it is mandatory for the corps to carry out the exercise to ensure that motorists who are on transit within this period are sensitized to drive safely.
He said passengers suffer more deaths than drivers, adding that urgent need must be taken to safeguard passengers.
