Auditors resident in Kano
Local Government arrears and other stakeholders in Local Government Audit gathered for a 2 —day workshop in Kaduna state.
The event was organized by the office of the Auditor General for Local Government under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi.
The Workshop according to the Auditor General was aimed at re-awakening Local Government Auditors on the present day challenge in Public Finance Management.
It was also intended to sharpen the skills of the Auditors.
In his opening remarks, the Public Account Committee Chairman in the Kano State House of Assembly, Honorable Tukur Muhammad, pointed out that the professionalism shown by the office of the Auditor General and the Commitment of Public Account Committee (PAC) members as well as Leadership of the House made the activities successful “as all our records are now up to date’ he added.
In his goodwill message, the Deputy Chairman of PAC Hon. Salisu Ibrahim said this type of gathering is key to the career efficiency and excellence in the working of the Auditors.
Also in their separate messages one of the former Local Government Auditor General Alhaji Muhd Ibrahim Farouk expressed satisfaction that the department is now worthy of proud.
