Inadequate funding has been described as major challenge to the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) in Jigawa and Nigeria at large.
This was disclosed by the Jigawa stakeholders during the two day workshop on Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, organised by CLEEN foundation with support from MacArthur foundation, in Dutse, Jigawa state.
The stakeholders that formed an observatory group, involved members of civil society organisations, media, representative from human rights, Police, Correctional services, Nigeria Immigration Service, Lawyers, ministry of justice among others.
During the workshop, the participants brainstormed and identified the challenges and designed an advocacy strategies to follow in addressing the challenges.
