“The violence amongst women and children is a major concern that needs to be addressed through awareness on gender-based violence (GBV)”, she said.
She stated this on Monday in Gombe during the flagging off ceremony of the 16th days of activism on women and children.
Hajiya Yahaya while explaining, said since the creation of the activism in 1991 by the centre for women global leadership at Rutgers university the campaign has been on the increase to fight against violence amongst women.
