The Former Super Eagles Winger Tijani Babagida has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to beg Stephen Keshi to remain as Eagles’ head coach for the interest of the game development in the country.
The Taraba FC chairman, who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja, described the 52-year as the best indigenous coach that Nigeria ever had.
He said that Keshi deserves a long term job with the national team not only to development our local players at the national teams but expose our players to international market.
“I don’t think his future is in doubt, Keshi’s exit must be the craziest decision we will ever make as a nation. He will do well in subsequence matches or international competitions should NFF has patience with him to develop our game, “TJ said.
He believes the national team will have a result-oriented future with Keshi in charge.
“The future looks bright for me. He has gone about the business the right way by going back to our local league to pick the next Keshi, Mikel and Omokachi in the future.
“The former Mali and Togo gaffer is planning well for the future for Nigeria. He is on the right track,” Babagida concluded.
