Gender based violence: Report cases to appropriate authority- Gombe first lady

The wife of Gombe state governor Hajiya Asma’u Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who was represented by the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development Asma’u Iganus has called on the general public not to hesitate in reporting cases of women and children through Gender based violence.
She insisted that such cases should be reported to the appropriate authority to reduce the menace that affects women and children.
She stated this on Wednesday in Kwami local government area of Gombe state when the delegation of the ministry of women affairs carried out the awareness to the area to end gender based violence against women and children.
According to her, issue of this menace has gone deep where women and children suffer most interms of gender based violence in the society.
“There is urgent need for us to addressed such menace inorder to have a free society to strive”, she said.
