APC alerts Ganduje of members mass defection in Adamawa state

Some past leaders and other members of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Adamawa State have cried out over the alleged dwindling fortunes of the party in the state.
The APC stakeholders who held a meeting in Yola on Sunday to drum up their call for reconciliation to reposition the party, said the party which failed in its bid to win the governorship election in the state in 2019 and 2023 should also forget about 2027 if it does not put its house in order.
The group of Concerned APC Members, led by a former state deputy chairman, Saidu Naira, said members are leaving due to discontent, making urgent fence mending vital.
“If the party and members have largely been ignored, now is the time that our leaders must reach out and make the party a united and strong front,” Saidu said during the stakeholders meeting.
Alleging that no concrete and honest reconciliation move has been made since after the 2023 election, Naira said, “Many members are aggrieved that they are abandoned by the APC and some are already leaving to other parties.”
He alleged that the party at the state level has been hijacked by some powerful individuals and appealed to President Bola Tinubu and the APC national chairman, Umar Ganduje to act to save the party.
He specifically requested the national chairman to form a committee and delegate to Adamawa to free the party to be itself and lead Adamawa members forward.
