Members of Orient Club, Abuja have urged well placed Nigerians to go to orphanage homes and adopt children so as to give them sense of belonging in the society.
The members also called on Nigerians to always find time to visit the orphanages, especially in this December to put smiles in the faces of the children and those taking care of them.
Speaking at the Durumi Orphanage home where members of the club donate food and other items, the President, Tony Ogbulafor said children in Orphanage homes are like any other children and deserve to be taken care of.
He called on Nigerians to see it as a call for humanity by adopting a child from the motherless babies homes.
Speaking over the weekend at the Durumi Orphanage home, Ogbulafor said, “the gesture is to enable the children enjoy Christmas like all other children without feeling completely abandoned by the society.
The humanitarian further encouraged members of the society not to forget the children during this season and if possible they should adopt the children to give them sense of belonging.
