The Principal Private Secretary to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Prof. Bello Ayuba, has lauded the achievements of the governor in the last 18 months, describing them as “unprecedented.”
Prof. Ayuba, while speaking at an informal interaction with journalists in Kaduna, outlined milestones in security, infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture as key pillars of the administration’s success.
In security, he noted the distribution of 150 operational vehicles and 500 motorcycles to federal security forces and the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS). The signing of the Kaduna State Security Trust Fund Bill was also highlighted as a proactive measure to sustain security interventions.
Ayuba emphasized the administration’s strides in rural development, including 68 road projects spanning 700 kilometers and the reopening of strategic markets in Birnin Gwari and Giwa local governments, signaling the return of peace to formerly troubled areas.
On education, the state has constructed 62 new secondary schools, approved 50 additional schools, and recruited 2,000 qualified teachers. Infrastructure upgrades in schools include over 2,000 new classrooms, 918 VIP toilets, and 51 boreholes.
The health sector has seen a comprehensive overhaul with the completion of the ultra-modern Specialist Hospital at Millennium City and upgrades to 13 general hospitals across the state.
Prof. Amina also highlighted agricultural initiatives, such as the “Get Back to the Farm” scheme, which has benefited over 41,000 farmers. The program includes the distribution of 500 trucks of fertilizer, mechanization efforts, and support for smallholder farmers.
On economic empowerment, Prof Ayuba mentioned the partnership with Google Africa for the ArewaTech4Ladies project, benefiting 5,000 women in digital skills, and the establishment of three Vocational and Technological Skills Acquisition Cities targeting 12,000 youths annually.
“The state’s focus on accountability and transparency has earned it top rankings in the Centre for Fiscal Transparency’s Integrity Index and the ICAN Accountability Index,”Ayuba added.
