Rivers: I’ve been using red biro for 14 years – Wike fires back at Fubara

Date:

By Jude Opara

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT)Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the threats by Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State to continue using his “red biro” against his enemies.

Wike reminded Fubara that he has been using the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it.

Speaking at the crossover into the 2025 church service held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo Town in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Fubara vowed that he would continue to crush his enemies.

Fubara said, “The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Every enemy plan will continue to crash.”

However, speaking through his media aide, Lere Olayinka, the Minister cautioned Fubara, saying he has only used his red biro for two years.

Posting on X, Olayinka wrote: “Someone who has only used the red biro for less than two years is somewhere reminding himself and boasting that ‘The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me.’ Issokay.

“Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has used the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it?”
