The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to change his style of leadership or be changed by Nigerians in 2027 election.

The Chairman of NNPP, Kano state chapter, Hashimu Suleman Dungurawa gave the warning at a press briefing in Kano on Thursday.

According to Dungurawa, the ongoing economic reforms being carried out by the Tinubu’s government is not yielding fruits, rather, according to him, inflicting more hardship on Nigerians.

Citing the tax reform bills that are before the national assembly, the NNPP Chairman advised the President to shelve the policy which he said, would not augur well in the country.

“This tax reform bills are nothing but to inflict more hardship on Nigerians. This is the president that at the venue of his swearing-in, arbitrarily announced the removal of fuel subsidy that Nigerians are yet to recover from.

“He is now planning to introduce a tax law that would inflict another hardship on us.

“The president should have a listening ears. He should listen to Nigerians’ outcry and disapprovals. Nigerians are yearning and crying out about this tax reform.

“You better shelve this policy. You better change or we change you,” he warned.

The NNPP Chairman also accused the presidency of creating crises in opposition parties in order to take advantage of dominating all the 36 states of the federation.

Dungurawa however said NNPP is gaining momentum in the country as it has established structures across all the states of the federation.

“We have offices at all the 36 states. We are now planning to establish structures at all the pilling units across the nation.

“NNPP is out for victory 2027. The ongoing court case against our party is nothing to worry about because it has not affected our structure and resolve to win elections. We are not purtubed at all,” Dungurawa said.
