AMAC Chairman to provide vehicles for security agencies

The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council in the FCT, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu said that the council has made provision in 2025 budget security vehicles.

Maikalangu, disclosed this while delivering his address during the 2025 budget proposal which was presented to the lawmakers of Abuja Municipal Area Council at their Hallowed Chamber.

His words. “Having deliberated on the performance of 2024 budget, taking into consideration the request of various departments with the council, I hereby present a budget size of N25,651,311,42 (Twenty-Five Billion, Six-Hundred Fifty –One Million, Three Hundred and Eleven

Thousand, one Hundred and Forty-two naira) only, as 2025 proposed budget estimate”.

He said: “In preparing the 2025 budget, we carefully adopt zero-based budgeting method to enable departments to justify their expenditure

for the new fiscal year with a view to eliminating unnecessary and wasteful expenditure”.

He told the legislators that his administration had carried out

developmental Projects across the twelve wards of the council despite some pending issues, adding that his leadership was able to make progresses
