As the debate over The tax reform Bills currently before the National Assembly rages on, the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has wade in, throwing its weight behind Governor Bala Mohammad of Bauchi state.

Comrade Aliyu Charanchi, the coalition’s leader, explained that the governor’s concerns resonate with many northerners who feel disproportionately impacted by the economic policies of the current administration.

“The governor’s comments were made with sincere intent within the bounds of democratic discourse, highlighting the genuine concerns of his constituents,” Charanchi remarked.

The coalition also condemned what it termed as threats from the presidency against Governor Mohammed, describing them as “unjust and dismissive.” Charanchi urged President Bola Tinubu to focus on addressing the nation’s pressing economic and security issues instead of engaging in personal attacks.
