Niger Gov’t concludes lan to build IDPs homes in 3 communities

The Niger State government have concluded plans to construct one thousand modern houses each in Alawa, Kuribi and Erena communities, to accommodate the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.

Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago made this known at Gwada in Shiroro local council of the state in continuation of his visit to inspect ongoing protects in the area, noted that IDPs camps was due to nefarious activities of bandits would soon be close down.

He explained that the new homes will serve as temporary homes for the DIP’S pending when the security improve in their villages.

The governor further assured that all public schools in the area affected by the activities of the bandits would be rehabilitated and equipped with teaching and learning facilities.

Bago promised to construct new road from Mararaban Dan Daudu to Gwada,and from Gwada to Kuta,as well as construct modern market in Gwada,and new general hospital among others.

In his remarks, the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial district, Senator  Mohammed Sani Musa appreciated the people of Gwada for their support to the state government, assuring that all the projects he initiated in the area would be completed.

Chairman, Shiroro local council Alilu Kuta and the representative of the Gwada community, Professor James Galadima expressed satisfaction over the unwavering efforts of governor Bago to uplift the living standard of rural communities in the state.
