Junior Chamber International (JCI) Aso marked the beginning of its 25th anniversary with a renewed commitment to fostering diversity, innovation, and impactful leadership.
The organization’s 25th President, JCIN Ambassador Felix Akinyemi, unveiled an ambitious agenda for 2025 during a media parley held alongside the January General Assembly and Business Meeting at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Amb. Akinyemi emphasized the theme for the year, “Inspiring Change,” as a call to action for members to lead with vision, act with purpose, and foster partnerships.
“This year is not just another chapter in our story—it is the beginning of a transformative era for JCI Aso,” he said.
“Our actions today must prepare JCI Aso for tomorrow, as we celebrate 25 years of leadership, service, and impactful contributions to our community.”
Highlighting the organization’s commitment to growth, the president announced the launch of the JCI Aso Training Institute.
The initiative will focus on equipping members with essential skills such as leadership, communication, project management, and graphics design.
He underscored the role of creativity and technology in driving impactful community projects and innovation.
“No one achieves greatness alone,” he added.
“We will continue to build partnerships within JCI and with external organizations to amplify our collective impact. Diversity remains our strength, and every member’s voice matters in shaping our future.”
JCIN Ambassador Queen Chidinma Agbajah, the 2025 Vice President of JCI Aso, also spoke on the importance of empowering members through targeted initiatives.
“This year, we are introducing the Membership Development Summit, focusing on soft skills training that benefits not just members but also outsiders who may tap into these opportunities,” she said.
“The JCI Training Institute will enable us to meet members’ personal and professional development needs while modernizing project strategies to address current realities.”
JCI Senator Adeboye Morakinyo, a senior leader in the organization, emphasized the importance of engagement and effective communication in achieving JCI Aso’s goals.
“Information must reach the right people at the right time,” he said. “We are committed to ensuring that all stakeholders are involved and that every category of membership feels valued in this administration.”
As JCI Aso celebrates 25 years of impactful service, the organization has vowed to uphold its core values of integrity, collaboration, and innovation.
