Gov tasks corps members on food production, security in Taraba

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has tasked corps members serving in the state to contribute to food production and security.

Dr. Kefas, represented by the Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Amb. Joseph Joshua, made the call during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Batch C Stream 11 Orientation Course for Corps Members deployed to Taraba State.

The governor urged the corps members to collaborate with stakeholders in the agricultural sector to increase food production and preservation, promoting the well-being and livelihood of the state’s residents.

He also emphasized the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme’s role in promoting national unity and integration, encouraging corps members to research and contribute to this effort.

Dr. Kefas commended the NYSC management for their teamwork and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the scheme’s goals and objectives.
