Jigawa PDP chieftain, Ibn Sa’ad, others defect to APC

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP), in Jigawa State Abba Sa’adu (Ibn Sa’ad) has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC.

He detected along side many others including a former House of Assembly candidate and the PDP candidate for the Hadejia constituency in the 2023 state assembly elections.

Governor Umar Namadi officially received him and his supporters in Kafin-Hausa on Saturday.

Governor Namadi described the defection as a testament to the confidence the people of Jigawa, including opposition members, have in his administration’s policies and programs.

He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the state’s development.

In his remarks, Hon. Abba Sa’adu stated that he and his supporters joined the APC due to its progressive policies and dedication to the state’s growth.

He pledged his full support for the party and its leadership.
